At the heart of the story is a family whose legacy would cross generations through love, loyalty, political upheaval, faith, and ultimately extraordinary sacrifice.
Their son, Patrick Hamilton, would become Scotland's first martyr of the Protestant Reformation. His death was intended to extinguish his message. Instead, it helped light a flame that would spread across a nation.
This is the story of what came before the flame, and the family behind it.

INTRODUCING OUR PRINCIPAL LEAD JAYMES HAMILTON
We are honored to introduce Jaymes Hamilton as the principal lead in HAMILTON: The First Flame, portraying the young Patrick Hamilton, Scotland’s first martyr of the Protestant Reformation.
There is something especially meaningful about Jaymes stepping into this role. As a direct descendant of the Hamilton lineage whose remarkable history inspired this film, he brings a personal connection to the story and is uniquely and rightfully placed to portray the young man at its heart.
Patrick Hamilton was born into one of Scotland’s most influential families, yet chose a path that would ultimately cost him his life. His courage, conviction, and sacrifice helped ignite the flame of Reformation in Scotland, a flame that could not be extinguished. We are equally honored to have Jaymes’s father, Michael Hamilton, joining the cast, allowing two generations of the Hamilton family to take part in bringing this extraordinary chapter of their ancestral history to the screen.
It is a privilege for Golden Eagle Films to tell this story, and we could not be more pleased to have Jaymes leading the cast of HAMILTON: The First Flame.

HOW HAMILTON IS BEING MADE
A NEW KIND OF FILMMAKING
HAMILTON: The First Flame is being created through a hybrid human and AI production pipeline that brings together traditional filmmaking, real actors, historical research, and emerging production technologies.
Each character begins with a carefully cast actor. Using the actor’s likeness together with recorded reference performances, we create a digital double designed to preserve the unique qualities, expressions, and performance characteristics of the original actor. These digital doubles then become the on-screen characters through which performances are developed and directed within the world of the film.
Behind the technology remains a traditional filmmaking process, casting, directing, performance, cinematography, production design, costuming, editing, sound, and music, all working together to tell the story.
Set against the richly detailed world of 16th-century Scotland, HAMILTON: The First Flame is grounded in extensive historical research, with particular attention given to the people, places, events, architecture, clothing, and culture of the period. Our goal is not simply to recreate history, but to bring it vividly and authentically to life for a new generation.
